What you can do in Brainrot Brawl

Build a deck, recruit a team and let their abilities play out in automatic battles. Outside a run, build your card collection, open packs and experiment with new decks. This guide describes the current development build.

How a run works

  1. Choose a deck

Select a preset or build a custom deck of exactly 15 card copies. Those copies become your character pool for the run.

  2. Prepare your team

Spend Aura on recruits and food, arrange up to five brawlers and freeze offers you want to keep.

  3. End your turn

Your team fights automatically. Watch character abilities interact, adjust playback speed or skip to the result.

  4. Adapt between fights

Return to the shop with refreshed Aura. Improve your lineup and keep going until you reach the win target or run out of lives.

Build and manage decks

Start with Brainrot Starter, Battle Cry or Snack Attack, or create a deck of your own. You can save, name, copy and delete custom decks. Editing a preset gives you a custom version to work with.

  • Exactly 15 copies. Duplicates are allowed. Include multiple copies of a character variant to make it more likely to appear in your shop.
  • Plan your costs. Character variants can share a name and ability while having different Aura costs and starting stats. A low-cost opening lets you recruit early.
  • A finite pool. Each selected copy can be purchased only once per run. Rerolling releases unfrozen offers back into the available pool; buying a copy permanently uses it.
  • Make replacements count. Selling a brawler does not return that copy to the pool. Once all 15 copies have been purchased, the shop can still offer food.

You can select any currently playable variant when building a deck. Your collection provides the card finishes available to display.

Recruit, feed and arrange your team

Between battles, your shop has up to five character offers and a food offer. Drag an offer onto a team slot, or select it and then select its destination. Your team has five positions, with the front brawler entering combat first.

Recruit

Buy an affordable character and place it in an empty team slot.

Feed

Give food to a brawler for lasting stat improvements. Puff Bean adds Health; Crunch Cube adds Attack and Health.

Reorder

Move or swap brawlers between positions. Abilities that affect the ally ahead or behind make formation matter.

Freeze

Keep a promising offer through rerolls and into the next shop phase. You can save an offer that costs one more Aura than your current maximum.

Reroll

Refresh unfrozen offers. You get two free rolls in rounds 1–2 and one free roll each round after that; further rolls cost 1 Aura.

Sell

Free a team slot and recover half the variant’s purchase cost in Aura, rounded down. Some abilities also trigger when a brawler is sold.

Aura is your run budget

You begin with 1 Aura. Your maximum increases by 1 each round, up to 10, and refills at the start of each shop phase. Unspent Aura does not carry over. It is separate from the gold used to buy collection packs.

Inspect a character before buying: hover a card with a mouse, or select it on touch, to see its cost, Attack, Health and ability.

Combine abilities in automatic battles

You make the decisions before combat; your team handles the fight. The front brawlers normally attack each other at the same time, so both can take damage or be defeated in a single exchange.

Abilities can activate at battle start, before or after an attack, when a brawler survives damage, or when it is defeated. You can build around healing, shields, targeted damage, summoned allies and changes to team order.

  • Protect a key brawler. Position a healer or support behind an ally that benefits from staying in the fight.
  • Use defeat effects. Some brawlers leave another unit behind, summon reinforcements or improve surviving teammates.
  • Disrupt the opponent. Other abilities remove shields, redirect targeted effects or move enemies out of their preferred positions.

Food and shop stat gains persist through the run. Combat damage and temporary battle buffs do not permanently alter your shop team.

Watch at 0.5x, 1x, 2x or 4x speed, or skip to the result. Playback controls change how you watch the battle, not who wins it.

Meet a few brawlers

A few of the original characters in the current prototype, each with its own role on your team.

Popsicle Gorilla

Gains Attack after attacking, at the cost of its own Health.

Cactus Fish

Hits the next enemy after attacking, then retreats to the back of the team.

Avocado Armadillo

Leaves an Avocado Pit behind when defeated, keeping a place on the battlefield.

Captain Toaster

Starts the battle by firing toast at the two front enemies.

Blueberry Rhino

Gains Attack after surviving damage and deals splash damage with its attacks.

Dishwasher Dog

Washes the ally ahead at battle start, removing Burn and adding Shield.

Progress through the campaign

Select a stage on the illustrated world map and take your chosen deck into a run against themed opponents. Different encounters set their own win targets, starting lives and enemy lineups, including boss fights.

  • Clear a stage. Reach its required number of wins before losing all your lives. In the current encounters, targets range from 5 to 10 wins and starting lives range from 3 to 5.
  • Manage losses. A defeat removes one life. A draw does not remove a life or add a win.
  • Earn stars. Clear without losing a life for three stars, lose one life for two, or finish with more losses for one.
  • Replay and improve. Clearing stages advances progression. Replay completed encounters to improve your best star result.
  • Continue later. Resume an unfinished campaign run, restart the level, or return to the map after a result.

Current campaign scope

The prototype includes ten illustrated world maps and eight playable encounters. The remaining stages are marked Coming soon when reachable; they are not yet playable.

Play live 1v1 matches

Online mode uses your selected deck to look for an opponent. Both players prepare their teams during the shop phase; when both have ended their turns, their lineups battle.

  • Check your selected deck in the lobby before starting matchmaking.
  • Follow the search status and cancel a search while waiting.
  • Prepare your lineup alongside your opponent, then commit it for the next battle.
  • Each player starts with five lives. Take all five of your opponent’s lives to win the match.

Online play is implemented in the development build and requires an available multiplayer server and a compatible game version.

Collect cards and open packs

Visit Collection to browse characters, switch between Common, Holo and Full Art tabs, filter to owned cards, and inspect a card’s artwork, stats and ability. Your collection and account gold are saved on your device.

Spend account gold in the card shop to open packs. The current pack choices are:

Card packs in the current prototype
PackGoldCards
Base Pack1001
Premium Pack2001
Deluxe Pack5003

Each pack has an Odds & details panel showing its current finish chances. A duplicate returns 25 gold per duplicate card. Deluxe reveals all three rewards together.

The Full Art tab is present, but no Full Art cards are currently eligible in the prototype. Pack odds adjust to the finishes that are actually available.

Collection and run progression are separate

Gold buys collection packs; Aura buys recruits and food during a run. The current campaign does not yet award gold for victories.

Adjust playback and keep your progress

  • Sound. Turn all game audio on or off from Options.
  • Battle speed. Choose your preferred playback speed in Options or during combat.
  • Reduced motion. Reduce presentation movement, including supported map and pack-opening effects.
  • Saved runs. Campaign actions and fights save the current run, so Continue can resume your progress.
  • Saved collection and decks. Your cards, gold, custom decks, selected deck and campaign progress remain on the device.

Brainrot Brawl is still in development. These features, balance values and screenshots describe the current prototype rather than a final release.
